Our compliance standard for tax firm advertising
Tax relief is one of the most scrutinised categories in advertising. These are the rules we build every campaign to, published so you can hold us to them.

The industry has a record
The FTC's first action against a tax relief company, American Tax Relief, ended in a $15 million settlement after claims it could settle tax debts for a fraction of what was owed. In 2025 a federal court halted American Tax Services and affiliates after the FTC and Nevada's attorney general alleged mailers designed to look like government notices.
Platforms tightened too. Since January 2025 Meta has required US financial services advertisers to use its Financial Products and Services category, which removes detailed age, gender and lookalike targeting. Your licence, reputation and ad accounts are worth far more than any campaign.

Eight rules, every campaign
Truthful claims only
We follow the FTC Act's ban on unfair and deceptive practices. No promised settlements, reductions or outcomes. Results are shown with honest context.
Circular 230
For practitioners before the IRS, Circular 230 prohibits false, misleading or coercive advertising. Credentials are described exactly as they are.
No government look-alikes
No IRS logos, seals, notice formats or language implying government affiliation, anywhere.
Correct ad categories
Meta campaigns run under the Financial Products and Services category where it applies. We build to its limits, never around them.
Consent for calls and texts
Follow-up goes only to people who asked to be contacted, with consent captured in the form and opt-outs honoured.
State rules and testimonials
Some state boards restrict testimonials and claims for licensees. We check your state at onboarding.
Your sign-off
Nothing runs until you approve it. You know your licensing obligations best.
Careful data handling
Forms never ask for Social Security or account numbers. Return uploads go to your secure portal, not to us.
This page describes our working standard. It is not legal advice. Your firm remains responsible for its own compliance, and we recommend counsel reviews advertising in regulated practice areas.
Grow without putting your licence on the line
